Two Skill Levels: Beginner (White Belt) and Intermediate (Blue/Purple Belt)

Two Weight Classes: Above and Below 175 lbs

6:00 minute Submission Only Single Elimination Format

10:00 minute Submission Only Finals

1:00 minute First to Score Overtime Rounds

Beginner - $50 Entry Fee - earn $50 per submission, the competitor with most submissions becomes the SubStar and earns an additional $100

Intermediate - $75 Entry Fee - earn $75 per submission, Intermediate SubStar earns an additional $150


$10 Spectator Fee

Located at the Jose Marti Gym - 434 SW 3rd Ave, Miami, FL 33130

Matches start promptly at 1 pm

Doors open at 12:00pm

Competitors may weigh in anytime before their first match

Registration deadline is 10/19/2018


Important Information:

  1. If either competitor holds the same position for longer than 15 seconds then the referee will restart the competitors standing. 
  2. When standing, if competitors do not engage for a takedown or to pull guard within 20 seconds then they will be faulted with a penalty. 
  3. For 1:00 minute overtime rounds, points will be scored based off of IBJJF criteria: Takedown, Knee on Belly, Guard Pass, Sweep, Back Take, Mount, Submission. The first to score a point will be the winner. Overtime rounds will repeat until one competitor scores.
  4. If multiple competitors have the same amount of submissions, the one who placed higher in the tournament will become the SubStar.
